FAQ

01

Why is it important you are certified?

Every drone operator is required to present their own FAA part 107 flight certificate. If your drone operator is unable to do so, then they are in breach of flying under commercial intent. This pilot will not have the necessary skills or knowledge to fulfill your request properly and safely.

02

Are there any potential flight restrictions?

Per the Code of Federal Regulations, Chapter 14, Part 107, certain types of airspace are off-limits to drones without special permitting. Depending on the flight space it can take anywhere from 3 days to a couple months to get permitted.

Examples of such include areas immediately adjacent to airports, wildlife reserves, stadiums, and similar. Should any airspace related flight restrictions prevent your project from being carried out, expect a full refund.

03

Why is it important you have insurance?

Having liability insurance is a must when operating near clients’ property or real estate. Many things can go wrong unexpectedly. Even the most trained pilots can quickly lose control of their drones. Having insurance for such instances allows our clients and our pilots to feel more at ease.

04

Is there prep work required for locational shooting?

There can be minor prep-work required in order to take a better shot. Removing trash cans, parking cars in the garage, or putting up water hoses are some of the things you might consider before the actual shoot.

05

When will I receive my images/videos?

You can expect to receive photos and/or videos about 48 hours or less after the first initial shoot. Custom projects may require longer processing times, depending on their duration and complexity.

06

What if there is adverse weather?

Needless to say, part of shooting great aerial photos and videos is favorable weather. At the pilot’s discretion, if the sky becomes fully overcast, if the winds or gusts become excessive, if there is thunder or lightning in the vicinity, or if there is precipitation on the day of your scheduled visit, the appointment may have to be rescheduled.

Partially cloudy skies are not valid grounds for rescheduling. Excluding weddings, which cannot be reproduced, refunds will not be afforded on booked services due to adverse weather conditions on the day of your scheduled pilot’s visit; only the option to reschedule.

07

What if I need to reschedule for any reason?

Not a problem! Just let us know a little ahead of time. We do require at least 48 hours’ notice when rescheduling. Please note that only the pilot reserves the right to reschedule a visit due to adverse weather conditions on the day of. Partially cloudy skies are not valid grounds for rescheduling.

08

What if I need to cancel altogether?

Allow a 48 hour cancellation period. If a shoot is postponed or canceled by the client with less than 24 hours notice, we will add an additional $99 fee to the shoot fees.

09

What if I am dissatisfied with the results?

We understand there can always room for improvement. Within reason, we can make changes to your media. However, we will not go beyond two iterations of revision to prevent repetitive feedback loops. We hope you understand that due to the amount of work put into these projects, we cannot offer refunds on grounds of dissatisfaction.

10

Am I entitled to a refund?

The short answer is: “it depends.” Here’s a breakdown of the scenarios:

  • Flight Restrictions: Should any airspace related flight restrictions prevent your project from being carried out, expect a full refund.

  • Adverse Weather: Excluding weddings, which cannot be reproduced, refunds will not be afforded on booked services due to adverse weather conditions on the day of your scheduled pilot’s visit; only the option to reschedule.

  • Cancellations: Cancellations: Allow at least 48 hour notice to receive a full refund. Less than 24 hours will result in a 100% project charge.

  • No Shows: Unless a client absence is arranged for ahead of time, “no shows” on the day of the scheduled pilot’s visit will be considered a breach of contract, resulting in no service being carried out and no refund being awarded.

  • Dissatisfaction: Rest assured, we will do our very best to ensure that you are 100% satisfied with our work. Within reason, we can make changes to your media should you so desire. However, we will not go beyond two iterations of revision to prevent repetitive feedback loops. We hope you understand that due to the amount of work put into these projects, we cannot offer refunds on grounds of dissatisfaction.
